Why “Starling”?

Starlings sometimes fly in mesmerizing, constantly moving flocks called murmurations. Scientists found they create these swirling masses by each individual keeping track of the immediate six or seven birds around them, all while flying as fast as they can.
Their coordination and agility mimics the skills needed for successful teams.

The birds in the middle can see through the flock on all sides to its edge and beyond. They keep track of the flock as it moves as a whole, and adjust accordingly.
This is how good leaders act.
